It's been damn near 17 years since this disgusting album was released, so I think it's fine time to start heralding it as the classic that it is.

This was one of my favorite albums released by the now legendary Razorback Recordings back in the day. If you're familiar with the label, you know what to expect here: horror-obsessed deathgrind indebted to Carcass, Autopsy, and Impetigo. However, this isn't your run-of-the-mill slop. The members of Vacant Coffin would go on to form the legendary death/doom act Hooded Menace a year later. Considering that lineage, Sewer Skullpture feels like an essential missing link—rawer and more feral, but already dripping with the riffs, atmosphere, and morbid sensibility that would later define their sound.

This is the 2019 reissued version, featuring new artwork, and the Thrashed Supper Demo as bonus tracks.
