PARRICIDE - "After The Funeral" double cassette boxset

Parricide were a Polish death metal band originally formed in 1990. Their first 3 albums are absolutely underrated classics in my opinion!! But you never see them getting the love they deserve and it's a shame.

The band has since incorporated much more grind elements into their death metal sound, but in 2024 they decided to enter the studio to re-record a bunch of their classick tracks from their early material. The result is this absolutely phenomenal double-cassette boxset release.

RECOMMENDED as a great intro to the band!

TAPE 1:
Tracks 1-2 originally appeared on the Rehearsal Tape '92 demo in 1992.
Tracks 3-4 originally appeared on the Unnailed demo in 1993.
Tracks 5-6 originally appeared on the Fascination of Indifference full-length album in 1994.
Tracks 7-8 originally appeared on the Accustomed to Illusion full-length album in 1996.

TAPE 2:
Tracks 1-9 originally appeared on the Crude full-length album in 1999.

This release contains old songs recorded anew, keeping the old-school wave, atmosphere and aura intact as an homage to PARRICIDE’s original members and the good old times - the 90s. A quality studio was a distant dream then, so these songs never had a chance to sound decent. Thus came the idea to rerecord them and see if they stand the test of time. The release contains two tracks from each tape and the entirety of the debut album.
